Blue Sky Sports Physiotherapy is now open as a satellite clinic at JM Fitness. Donna Sanderson-Hull who has now been qualified for 25 years from The Bath School of Physiotherapy established the practice in 2007, which is currently based in Clifton. Blue Sky Sports Physiotherapy has been synonymous with evidence-based cost effective sports medicine and quality physiotherapy from highly qualified professionals who have all worked with elite level sports teams or individuals.

The practice at JM Fitness will be run by Claire Reed and is currently open on Tuesdays and soon to be Thursdays. Claire qualified in 2001 from the University of London and worked at St George’s Hospital in London. She moved to the South West in 2007 working in private practice, Bristol University and then Bath University. Claire has always had a strong interest in treating and rehabilitating sport related injuries in adults and children. She also has a keen interest in reducing the risk of injuries. She completed her MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in 2009 with distinction and is a gold accredited member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Her wide-ranging sports experience includes leading the Physiotherapy team for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, and work with British Swimming, GB Rowing and both Bath Super League and England Netball Squads. She has further experience of working with elite athletes at the English Institute of Sport and Bath University. Claire also practices acupuncture, which she uses as an adjunct to her manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills.

Blue sky Sports Physiotherapy is able to offer a comprehensive service to all patients with neck, back or chronic pain, through to more acute sporting injuries and pre and postoperative care. The clinic has close relations with specialist orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians and radiologists. ACE Feet in Motion the podiatrists for the WRU and ECB will also offer services and provide an onsite service once a month if required for bespoke orthotics and biomechanical assessment. 

Donna will remain at the Clifton site for the time being. She has worked in the UK and in NZ for various sports organisations, but is well-known for her six seasons as head physiotherapist with Bristol Rugby and England Rugby in the run up to the 2003 world cup.  She also published a Swiss Ball Training manual in 2000 and ran very successful training courses for fitness professionals for over 10 years. Donna latterly set up a physiotherapy practice within the Jonathan Webb clinic, before opening Blue Sky Sports Physiotherapy. Having completed her MSc in Sports Medicine with distinction at Cardiff University she is now a part-time lecturer on the MSc programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Donna is committed to providing the same high standard of care that Blue Sky Sports Physiotherapy is known for, within the Chew Valley.
